LPB(chiral)

Abstract

The LPB EOS [ LPB_2021] extends the microscopic zero-temperature BL [ LPB_BL_2018] nuclear EOS to finite temperature and arbitrary nuclear composition. The EOS is derived using the finite temperature extension of the Brueckner–Bethe–Goldstone quantum many-body theory in the Brueckner–Hartree–Fock approximation. The nuclear potentials employed to build the EOS are derived in chiral effective field theory. Specifically the NN potential adopted is the model-b of the N3LOΔ interaction discussed in Ref. [ PGSKL_2016]. The three-nucleon force is represented by the N2LOΔ interaction derived in Ref. [ LBK_2016] to reproduce good nuclear matter saturation properties. Both the interactions take into account of Δ(1232) excitations in the middle states of the NN scattering. The BPL EOS has been widely used in relativistic numerical simulations of BNSM, see e.g. [ PLRBK_2022, PRLPN_2021, BBDEL_2020, KDRPP_2022].
